How to nail your annual performance review

Have you got your end of year performance review coming up? Here are our top 5 tips to help you nail yours:

1. Prepare. Think about what you want to discuss and achieve out of the review. Write it down, that way when your boss asks if there's anything you'd like to discuss, you are ready to go.

2. Collate your achievements - highlight these in the meeting

3. Think about what areas you need to improve on, or would like some further development and training in. Discuss these with your employer

4. Also, think about your progression. Where do you want your career with this company to head? You might be thinking long-term, but even so, it's important to let your boss know where you aiming to get to, so they can help you get there

5. Finally, if you are seeking a pay rise, then have a case prepared! For example, moments you've gone above and beyond, achievements, duration since your last pay rise, draw a comparison to the current market rate, and so on. Keep a positive and proactive attitude.

We hope these help! Good luck.
