Tell us a bit about your background and what has led you to working as the marketing & HR assistant for Frame?

I am currently studying towards a Bachelor of Commerce, and Bachelor of Arts. Majoring in marketing and media/communications, at UC. I am in my fourth year and on track to be done by the end of this year, wahoo!

My Frame journey started last year (2021), when I came across their advert for an HR/Marketing intern. I was beyond stoked when I was offered this opportunity and interned for approx. 4 months, before stepping back to focus on my studies and other part-time job.

Since last year I have kept in comms with the Frame team, and when the opportunity came up to come on part-time this year, I was so excited to be back.

What is the favourite part about your job?

The team! I feel so lucky to be surrounded by a team of such inspiring women. Especially as I am just starting out on my career journey. It is so cool to hear about everyone’s career paths, and how they got to where they are today. Everyone is just so experienced, wise and so lovely.  I also love how no day is the same, and there is always something new and exciting that we are working on.

Who do you look to for style inspiration?

I would have to say my go-to would be Hailey Bieber, I love her effortless yet always sophisticated look. She just gets it right every time, from streetwear to glam. My other favorites would include, Emma Chamberlin, Anine Bing and Matilda Djerf for elevated, everyday looks.

Who are your favorite New Zealand fashion designers & brands?

We are so lucky to be so spoilt for choice in NZ. I love how sustainability is at the forefront of so many NZ designers. My personal favs would be Ruby, Yu Mei, Caitlin Crisp & Maggie Marilyn. I am also a bit of a Designer Wardrobe addict! as a student, I love DW for a fashion steal, and also because second-hand shopping is such an easy way to create a conscious wardrobe.

Favorite foodie spots in Christchurch?

For brunch, my go is Child Sister – their mushrooms on toast is the best, and the vibes are immaculate. I also really enjoy The Origin, a fully vegan café that has great coffee and the best atmosphere for study/remote work. For dinner, my favourites would be Chiwawa, Francescas and Earl,  I also recently tried The Birdwood, really really good Italian. For drinks, The Austin Club is a must! Gin Gin, Kong, and OGB are all top spots to take the girls or for date night. Christchurch really does have so many great spots.

Do you have any big goals or intentions for 2022?

To graduate! 4 years in the making, I cannot wait to tick off my degree. So that is definitely my biggest goal for the year. I also want to make the most of my final student days, with some international travel now that the borders are open.
