Join the Head Office of New Zealand's foremost fashion apparel manufacturers and suppliers.  We’re seeking a talented and experienced fashion designer or product developer with experience in creative marketing to play a pivotal role in this dynamic team. This role will be responsible for assisting in range developing and coordinating digital creatives for marketing for this New Zealand brand. 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include concepting ideas, sourcing fabrications, managing the development critical path, while leading creative for social media and email marketing. To do this role effectively you will have experience in fashion design, working with offshore factories and suppliers, and have a creative eye for brand marketing. You will be highly detail oriented with exceptional communication skills, working in a dedicated team for this quality lead NZ brand. 

The key responsibilities will include:

  • Research, concept and design of seasonal ranges

  • Sourcing and selection of fabrics and trims

  • Assisting in preparing tech packs and communicating details with suppliers for sampling ranges

  • Managing fit and quality of designs, while adhering to cost targets

  • Updating the development critical path and establishing yearly and seasonal calendars with wider team

  • Managing creative marketing across social media and email marketing campaigns

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar role as a designer or product developer, working with offshore product sourcing 

  • A passion and knowledge of fashion and fabrication and trim types 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with proficiency working across the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a creative eye

  • A highly organised approach, with experience in critical path management and problem solving
