Garment Technician, Women’s Fashion Brand

Intermediate to senior role, competitive salary
We are excited to be seeking an experienced Garment Technician for a fashionable womenswear brand based here in New Zealand.
Working amongst the design and production team, you will thrive in team collaboration and deliver on high quality garment construction.
As an ideal candidate for this role you will hold relevant experience in the field with razor-sharp attention to detail, efficient time management skills and a natural ability to mentor and share your skill set with others in the team.
Tasks and duties for the role include:
Work factory handovers, providing feedback and suggestions on construction or yield.
Create, update off shore spec sheets, use CAD to create drawings or highlight changes.
Communicate with planning, design and marketing on deliveries and production.
Follow and update a critical path ensuring samples arrive on time and quality control is ensured.
Complete costings and negotiating with suppliers, along with creating purchase orders.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
3+ years’ experience as a Garment Technician within womenswear.
Excellent technical understanding of fabrics, garment construction, grade rules, spec sheets and fitting garments.
Corel Draw and/or Adobe Illustrator experience desirable.
A knack for problem solving and resolving any factory issues.
Highly organised attributes with the ability to work well under pressure and strict deadlines
Key communication skills to work in synergy with your close connections, wider team and suppliers.
A love of fashion and the work that you do.
We are open to intermediate or senior- level garment techs!
