Junior Buyer, Menswear (Accessories & Gifting)
We are partnering with a leading NZ retailer to recruit a Junior Buyer within their menswear division, focused on accessories and gifting.
This is a highly sought-after opportunity to join a fast-paced, design-led environment where you will work closely with Senior Buyers to support the development and execution of commercially successful product ranges. You will play a key role in bringing the product to life, from concept through to delivery, while contributing to the overall performance of the category.
The Role
Working within a collaborative and high-performing team, you will:
Support Senior Buyers across accessories and gifting categories
Assist in product development and range building, aligned to brand direction and customer demand
Manage the critical path, ensuring timelines are met across the product lifecycle
Oversee order management and supplier communication
Contribute to trend research and analysis, both locally and internationally
Assist in building seasonal strategies and product assortments
Prepare and support performance reporting, identifying opportunities for growth and optimisation
Participate in market and sourcing trips, both domestically and internationally
About You
A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a fashion retail or buying environment
Exposure to buying, planning or product development functions
Strong commercial awareness with an eye for product and detail
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Confident working with data and systems, with strong capability in Excel and Microsoft Office
A solid understanding of fabrication, product development, and trend forecasting
