


Senior Account Director, Marketing Agency - CHCH or Auckland
We’re seeking an experienced and commercially savvy Senior Account Director to join a rapidly growing agency. Responsible for building and maintaining long-term, trusting, and positive relationships with existing and new clients, this role plays a pivotal role within the business. It’s an opportunity for someone to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, actively seek new areas for organic growth, and to ensure client strategies are expertly executed.

As a Senior Account Director, you’ll be a trusted strategic partner to some of their most valued clients. You’ll bring a strong track record of leading marketing programmes that deliver measurable impact, and will work across brand, digital, web, media and creative.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop long-term marketing strategies and brand positioning.
Provide high-level strategic direction, including market, competitor, and consumer analysis.
Lead senior-level client relationships and maintain contract compliance.
Oversee financial performance: budgeting, forecasting, invoicing.
Mentor junior and mid-level Account Managers.
Assist with marketing strategy development.
Actively seek and support new business opportunities and organic client growth.
Deliver projects on time, on scope, and to quality standards.
Lead internal teams to ensure smooth delivery.
Attend events and conferences as appropriate.
Conduct client satisfaction surveys and suggest improvements.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
Experience in a business analyst, account manager, or senior sales role (B2B services)
Strong new business development and account growth history
High-level presentation skills
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or similar is advantageous
Familiarity with Google Suite, PM software, CRM systems
Excellent interpersonal skills
Effective verbal and written communicator
Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
