This is a senior, hands-on leadership opportunity for a design professional who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys shaping commercially relevant, on-trend graphic stories across multiple apparel categories.

Working closely with Buying and Merchandise teams, you’ll lead the creative direction across Menswear and Boyswear, while mentoring and developing a high-performing Fashion Graphic Design team.

About The Role

In this role, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end graphic design process — from interpreting briefs and developing original artwork through to delivering production-ready assets. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring all graphic outputs are trend-led, brand-aligned, and commercially viable, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing design culture.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the creative development of apparel graphics, prints, and presentation boards across Menswear and Boyswear

  • Interpreting design briefs and translating them into compelling, on-trend graphic stories

  • Ensuring all artwork is brand-aligned, trend-driven, and ready for production

  • Overseeing the creation of Fashion CADs, spec packs, and detailed artwork for manufacturing

  • Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of Fashion Graphic Designers, ensuring workflow efficiency and on-time delivery

  • Facilitating design reviews, training, and ongoing capability development

  • Partnering closely with Buying, Merchandise, and Marketing teams to deliver commercial design outcomes

  • Conducting trend and market research using global platforms and internal data

  • Managing external relationships with trend agencies, contractors, and creative partners

  • Ensuring compliance with copyright, IP, and licensing requirements

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in apparel graphic design, with strong exposure to Menswear and Boyswear

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop (Procreate and AI tools beneficial)

  • Proven experience leading and developing creative teams within a retail or apparel environment

  • A strong understanding of apparel manufacturing and production processes

  • Be a confident communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally

  • Be highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable working to tight deadlines in a high-volume retail setting

Why this opportunity?

  • Join a well-established, large-format retailer with significant market presence

  • Lead and influence creative direction across core apparel categories

  • Work in a collaborative, trend-focused, and commercially driven environment

  • Enjoy long-term career growth and development within a large, structured organisation
