This is an exciting opportunity to step into a Merchandise Planner role with one of New Zealand’s established retail groups. They’re known for their strong store footprint, loyal customers, and a commercial approach that continues to drive growth across the country.
As the Merchandise Planner, you’ll work closely with the wider planning and product teams to ensure the right stock is in the right place, at the right time. This role is perfect for someone who loves digging into numbers, spotting trading patterns, and helping guide smart decisions that impact sales performance across the full product mix.
What you’ll be doing
Monitoring weekly performance to support trading decisions.
Managing store allocations, replenishment and stock movements.
Reviewing sales trends to highlight risks and opportunities.
Preparing key planning reports and insights for the wider team.
Supporting forecasting activity and ensuring stock levels meet demand.
Working cross-functionally with product, supply chain and store teams to keep stock flow smooth and efficient.
What we’re looking for
Experience in retail merchandise planning or a similar analytical stock-focused role.
Confident Excel skills and the ability to interpret sales and stock data.
Strong attention to detail with a solutions-focused mindset.
Comfortable working at pace and adapting to trading changes.
A collaborative communicator who enjoys being part of an engaged team environment.
