Merchandise Planning Analyst – ASICS
Work across ASICS + new outdoor/sport categories
High-performing NZ-owned business
Newly renovated office, competitive salary + staff perks
We’re proud to be working with Brittain Wynyard, a respected New Zealand-owned distributor with nearly 100 years of industry experience. Known for building long-standing brand partnerships and operating with genuine integrity, Brittain Wynyard manages a premium portfolio of global brands across sports, footwear, outdoor, and performance. They're a business that backs its people, prioritises relationships, and is trusted across the retail landscape.
This newly created Merchandise Planning Analyst role sits at the exciting intersection of performance and potential. You’ll spend around 50% of your time working on ASICS, one of the world’s leading performance brands, and the other 50% across a growing division that includes outdoor, fishing, and ball sports.
The Role
You’ll be part of a small, collaborative planning team reporting to the Head of Planning, responsible for demand forecasting, stock analysis, margin performance and replenishment strategy. This is a newly created role with real scope to improve systems, processes, and planning foundations—so we’re looking for someone who brings self-drive, curiosity, and commercial fire.
This isn’t just about crunching numbers — it’s about understanding how sell-through, budgets and margins come together, and owning that piece across key retail partners. You'll work closely with internal sales, brand managers, and key account stakeholders to ensure stock is landing in the right place at the right time.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Forecasting and demand planning across both ASICS and other divisions
Monitoring stock, margin, and availability KPIs by customer
Building tools and improving processes to support better planning
Partnering with sales and brand leads on promotions and trade planning
Owning customer-level performance insights and driving action
What You’ll Bring:
Experience in wholesale merchandise planning or demand forecasting
Background in wholesale, FMCG, or complex, multi-SKU environments
Comfortable analysing data across margin, revenue, availability and sell-through
Commercially curious and customer-focused – you care about what moves the needle
Strong Excel skills and proficiency with ERP or forecasting tools
Ability to self-manage and build structure in a new division
Passion, and a solutions-focused mindset
A passion for outdoor sports is a big plus!
Perks of the Role:
Work across an iconic global brand (ASICS) + a fast-growing sport/outdoor portfolio
Be part of shaping a planning function from the ground up
Great team culture and leadership
Wellbeing initiatives - HIIT, yoga and tennis days
Central Auckland location, competitive salary, and staff perks
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with top outdoor brands while playing a key role in driving the success of product categories that fuel outdoor adventures.
If you're a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a love for sports and a knack for planning, we'd love to hear from you! Apply now by sending your resume to Account Manager, Bindy Williams-Lough, at bindy@frameconsulting.co.nz
