Join the Head Office of New Zealand's foremost fashion apparel manufacturers and suppliers.  We’re seeking an experienced Production Coordinator to sit in a varied role, being responsible for the production of one of the company’s key accounts, as well as other fashion apparel brands. 

Working closely with design and product development teams, you’re responsible for the off-shore production of the ranges from start to finish. To be successful in this role you will have experience working in production with offshore factories and suppliers, and will be highly organised with exceptional communication skills. 

The key responsibilities will include:

  • Management of off-shore production from start to finish

  • Placing orders and communicating with off-shore suppliers to managing deadlines for production 

  • Problem solving production changes and sourcing alternatives where necessary

  • Approving PP and SS samples, and overseeing QC

  • Organising freight and logistics 

The role comes with:

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar role as a Production Assistant or Coordinator

  • Knowledge of off-shore production and experience dealing with international suppliers 

  • Technical skills to understand garment quality and finish

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with proficiency working across the Microsoft Office Suite

  • A highly organised approach, with experience in critical path management and problem solving
