


Production Manager, COOP
Work closely with the head of design of Coop
Sampling and design development
Contribute ideas and support with future sustainability projects
This is a rare opportunity to join the team of one of New Zealand's most beloved brands, Coop. As the production manager, you will work closely with the head of design in a collaborative and creative environment.
With an emphasis on refined design and superior textiles rather than seasonal fashion, the brand has cultivated a lasting sense of timelessness. The successful candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, enjoy working in a dynamic environment, and appreciate the creativity and support of our workroom.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage onshore and offshore production from start to finish, for each collection
Maintain close relationships with supply value chain & vendors, in all aspects related to brand, and product expectations
Working closely with the Coop head of design on timelines to ensure all production is on time.
Workroom management – prioritising and punctuality are key!
Responsible for sampling and design development
Raise purchase orders, price negotiations, ensure storyboards, and records are up to date
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience in a Production Management role for a fashion brand
An aptitude for problem-solving and the ability to tackle challenges head-on
Enthusiasm and proficiency in garment construction
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office (mainly Excel), Google Docs, etc
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail with a calm and organised approach
Ability to work diligently in a fast-paced environment
