We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Buyer to take on a senior role with a Christchurch brand. Join a retail brand that is undergoing exciting changes and poised for growth. They pride themselves on having a collaborative and open company culture, with a high-performing team driving the business.
With a focus on the gifting and souvenir categories, you will lead the product selection and procurement process for a nationwide store network of 14 stores. As a commercially minded buyer, you will have a passion for meaningful products and be given the autonomy to own the full buying cycle.
Your responsibilities will include;
Timely procurement of stock
Measuring product performance
Ensuring stores are carrying optimal stock
Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with all suppliers, particularly major suppliers
Participating in developing and applying stock budgets that maximise the sales opportunities in each store throughout the yearly cycles
Developing systems and reporting to ensure accuracy and valuable utilisation of data
Assisting in developing and maintaining principles that drive procurement decisions
