We are seeking a confident and capable leader to manage our client’s retail operations across New Zealand. Overseeing 12 retail stores in Auckland and throughout the South Island, this role is responsible for driving sales growth, building high-performing teams, and ensuring exceptional service at every touchpoint. Our client’s ongoing expansion creates genuine opportunities for progression within the business.

As part of the close-knit head office leadership team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of the business. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and support Area and Store Managers to consistently achieve and exceed sales and service targets.

  • Monitor performance across all stores, analysing KPIs and implementing training and development where needed.

  • Motivate, inspire, and grow retail teams while embedding company culture, values, and high service standards.

  • Oversee recruitment and retention, ensuring the company remains an employer of choice.

  • Partner with buying and operations teams to optimise stock levels and merchandising across all stores.

  • Contribute to strategic decision-making as part of the executive leadership team.

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Extensive senior retail leadership experience, with proven success managing multi-site operations.

  • Strong people leadership skills – able to set goals, inspire performance, and develop talent.

  • Be commercially savvy, with a strong grasp of retail operations, business strategy, and sales growth.

  • Be highly organised, adaptable, and confident in managing competing priorities.
