Senior Buyer – Womenswear Fashion
Join a fast-paced, trend-led womenswear brand
Competitive salary + perks
Plenty of travel and hands-on product development
We’re working with a well-established womenswear label that is all about fresh product, quick reaction to trends and keeping their customer excited season after season. Based in central Auckland, this is a busy, creative buying environment where you are close to the product, in fittings most days and regularly heading offshore to source, research and build new ranges.
This role would suit an experienced Buyer who loves product development, range building and bringing ideas to life, rather than sitting behind spreadsheets all day. You’ll be across fit, fabrication, silhouette and print, and confident shaping ranges that speak to a youthful, fashion-conscious customer. Experience in jersey and youth product would be a big bonus, and international buying or sourcing experience is also highly regarded.
What you’ll be doing:
Building seasonal ranges that feel fresh, commercial and on-brand across key categories to achieve sales and profit targets
Leading product development from concept through to production, including fittings and fabric selection
Keeping close to trend, both locally and offshore, and feeding this back into seasonal direction
Working with marketing and eComm so product stories land well across all channels
Reviewing performance and identifying what to chase, what to pull back on and where the gaps are
Travelling frequently for sourcing, inspiration and supplier meetings
We’d love to hear from you if you:
Have previous fashion buying experience, ideally in womenswear
Are confident working across jersey, youth or more trend-driven categories
Strong understanding of garment construction, fit and fabric at a practical level
Very confident using Excel and general MS Office
Enjoy a fast-paced environment where things move quickly and no two days look the same
Have full working rights in New Zealand and are happy to travel regularly
What’s on offer:
Competitive salary package
Staff discount and access to great product
A creative, collaborative team who genuinely love fashion and retail
Career growth in a brand that is still evolving and expanding
If this sounds like you, we’d love to chat. Get in touch with Rachel Smart rachel@frameconsulting.co.nz or Bindy Williams-Lough at bindy@frameconsulting.co.nz to register your interest.
