Senior Production Co-ordinator, women’s fashion apparel brand

Are you an experienced  Production Coordinator looking for your next role? This is a dream womenswear brand to work for here in New Zealand. They hold a strong presence in the market for promoting inclusivity, diversity, and trends. 

As an experienced production specialist in the department, you will be responsible for managing the complete production process from development through to on time delivery with an additional focus of sourcing.

We are looking for someone with proven production experience that have the ability to translate direction into innovative and creative strategies and execution. 

Some of the key responsibilities include;

  • Build strong sustainable relationships with all suppliers in-line with the business model

  • Seasonal costs – ensure all seasonal costs are captured and maintained weekly with buybacks  

  • During critical trading periods manage the Critical path daily

  • Lead the monthly review meeting and communicate all outstanding tasks 

  • Manage the process of buybacks across all suppliers

  • Ensure margin by Country expectations are met and exceeded where possible

  • Follow up on any QC issues within the business and ensure that the correct process is followed including raising and authorising of penalties in absence of the HOP

  • Shipping schedules – ensure these are updated monthly and circulated to the team

  • Fabric sourcing – ensure fabric sourcing packs are sent to relevant suppliers

  • Travel before key holiday periods at manufacturing source to ensure a smooth running of production 

The role comes with:

  • A competitive remuneration package, with an above market salary

  • International travel 

  • This is a 12 month contract, but this business is thriving and there is real scope to continue on after the contract’s completion

  • Career progression opportunities

As a successful candidate you will have:

  • 3+ years’ experience within fashion production, ideally within apparel and within a busy, fast paced volume environment

  • An understanding of retail workloads and demands – able to manage workload accordingly.

  • Be a motivated and fluid worker, thriving in achieving a high standard out work output.

  • Have strong commercial acumen, a resilient character and excellent problem solving skills.
