Senior Sourcing Manager (Fixed-Term - 5 Months, Auckland)

US$0.00

We've partnered with one of Australasia's most established school-wear brands on a rare and genuinely exciting fixed-term opportunity. With a loyal customer base, a strong market position, and a defined sourcing project already in motion, this is the kind of role that doesn't come around often - a clear scope, a capable team, and real work to get your teeth into from day one.

This is a high-impact 5-month fixed term contract for a senior sourcing professional who can step in mid-cycle, get oriented fast, and deliver meaningful change quickly. Working directly with an experienced Head of Sourcing, you'll lead new factory and mill development as part of a broader sourcing realignment- building the commercial cases, forging the supplier relationships, and doing the analytical work that underpins long-term supply chain resilience.

Based in Auckland with flexible working arrangements, this role suits someone who thrives on a well-defined challenge and knows how to hit the ground running.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Sourcing realignment — Analyse gaps in the current supply base and build structured, evidence-backed recommendations that strengthen resilience and identify quick wins.

  • Factory & mill development — Identify, assess, and shortlist new partners across capability, capacity, compliance, and cost competitiveness, with clear recommendations for approval.

  • Negotiation & onboarding — Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, MOQs, and lead times, then coordinate cross-functional onboarding to ensure new suppliers are ready for sampling and production.

  • Fabric development — Engage mills on fabric development, pricing, and lead times. Approve lab dips and development samples with accuracy and pace.

  • Commercial impact — Model landed costs, identify margin opportunities, and build clear cases for supplier transitions — with a focus on efficiencies that last beyond the contract.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 7+ years in sourcing, supply chain, or production — ideally in apparel or textiles

  • Proven ability to step into a role mid-cycle and deliver immediate value

  • Strong negotiation track record with factories and mills

  • Sharp analytical skills and sound commercial judgement

  • Confident communicator, comfortable collaborating with senior leadership

  • Resilient and decisive — thrives in fast-moving, change-heavy environments

WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY:

Five months with a real remit, a respected brand, and a project that will leave a lasting mark on their supply base. If you're between roles, looking for your next challenge, or open to a well-scoped contract that punches above its weight - this is it.

READY TO MAKE AN IMPACT FROM DAY ONE?

If this sounds like your kind of challenge, we'd love to hear from you. Send your CV to rachel@frameconsulting.co.nz
