Wholesale Sales Representative, Fashion, Auckland
Represent a curated portfolio of fashion brands to the retailers who bring them to market. This is an on-the-road, relationship-led role for a sales professional who understands product, presents with polish and takes real pride in the accounts they look after.
Our client is an established, design-driven fashion business with a considered portfolio of brands, an engaged direct-to-consumer audience and a respected wholesale network across New Zealand. Creative standards are high, the team is collaborative, and each brand is presented with intent, from the collection through to the showroom floor. It is a genuine opportunity to grow a portfolio of premium brands alongside a dedicated, design-led team.
The role
Working closely with the Customer Service Manager, you will be the face of the brands to your region, building lasting relationships with existing accounts, winning new ones and presenting each season's collections with confidence. This is a customer-facing role with a high level of travel and time away from home.
You will:
Represent the portfolio of brands across your region, building strong relationships that grow market share within existing accounts, and identify, win and onboard new customers
Plan and execute the annual call cycle, tracking activity and reporting on results in NetSuite CRM to uncover opportunities and drive revenue growth
Present seasonal collections to every account in your region, tailoring each presentation to deliver the best outcome for the customer
Coordinate the collection from designer hand-over through to selling packs, sample management and customer bookings, and manage the showroom and the customer ordering platform
Own wholesale account communications for your region, keeping customers informed with seasonal imagery, brand news, promotional offers, top-seller reports and key company updates
Lead POS requirements and timelines in a brief to the creative team
Support the team with seasonal photo shoots
About you
You are polished, articulate and self-motivated, with a genuine feel for fashion and the way retailers buy. You will bring:
Experience in a customer-facing sales role within fashion or premium retail
A proven record of cultivating long-term relationships and meeting or exceeding targets across a portfolio of accounts
Impeccable presentation and personal style that reflects the brands you represent
Excellent communication skills, with high emotional intelligence and the ability to read each customer and get the most from every meeting
Comfort with a high level of travel and the autonomy that comes with it
Strong planning and time-management skills, and the ability to manage a diverse range of accounts
