Senior Financial Accountant - Fashion & Apparel | contract

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to step into a role with real scope and variety. Covering parental leave, you’ll be working across two well-known apparel brands, splitting your time between supporting business operations and delivering accurate, timely financial reporting.

Working closely with the Finance Business Partner, you’ll be hands-on in producing management accounts, reconciling key balance sheet accounts (including inventory), and supporting forecasting and reforecasting cycles. You’ll also act as a trusted business partner to retail and online teams, providing insights and solutions that help drive commercial success.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts

  • Reconcile sales, margin, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet accounts

  • Support forecasting, reforecasting, and pricing for tender submissions
    Partner with retail and online teams, providing analysis and solutions

  • Mentor the Finance Assistant and contribute to finance team development

  • Support ad hoc projects and business initiatives across the group

What you’ll bring:

  • CA qualification (or equivalent) with proven accounting experience

  • Strong technical skills, ideally with exposure to Xero and Cin7/DEAR

  • High attention to detail with a methodical, organised approach

  • The ability to communicate clearly and build strong stakeholder relationships

  • A positive, curious mindset and confidence in problem-solving

  • Passion for working in a collaborative team environment
