We’re on the lookout for an experienced Garment Technician to join the production team of a well-known fashion brand. This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and quality control. You’ll play a key part in ensuring every piece meets high standards, working closely with internal teams and suppliers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate technical packs outlining garment construction, fabric, and trim details.

  • Ensure technical packs are delivered to suppliers on time and maintain quality control.

  • Run fit sessions with buyers, provide feedback, and approve bulk production specs.

  • Work closely with offshore suppliers to troubleshoot fit and grading concerns.

  • Monitor merchandise reports to identify and resolve garment quality issues.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to address any production challenges.

  • Maintain an organised sample wardrobe for reference and approvals.

  • Contribute to process improvements to refine production workflows.

As the successful candidate you will have:

  • 2+ years of experience in fashion production, with expertise in fabrics (knits, wovens, knitwear), construction, and pattern making.

  • Previous experience as a Garment Technician is highly desirable.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • A relevant fashion qualification.

  • Must have the right to work in New Zealand.
