We’re on the lookout for an experienced Garment Technician to join the production team of a well-known fashion brand. This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and quality control. You’ll play a key part in ensuring every piece meets high standards, working closely with internal teams and suppliers.
Key responsibilities:
Develop accurate technical packs outlining garment construction, fabric, and trim details.
Ensure technical packs are delivered to suppliers on time and maintain quality control.
Run fit sessions with buyers, provide feedback, and approve bulk production specs.
Work closely with offshore suppliers to troubleshoot fit and grading concerns.
Monitor merchandise reports to identify and resolve garment quality issues.
Collaborate with internal teams to address any production challenges.
Maintain an organised sample wardrobe for reference and approvals.
Contribute to process improvements to refine production workflows.
As the successful candidate you will have:
2+ years of experience in fashion production, with expertise in fabrics (knits, wovens, knitwear), construction, and pattern making.
Previous experience as a Garment Technician is highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
A relevant fashion qualification.
Must have the right to work in New Zealand.
