


Store Manager – Boutique Lifestyle & Homeware Brand
A creative, design-led retail brand with a loyal customer base
Full-time role based in the heart of Ponsonby
Store management, eCommerce & visual merchandising
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Store Manager to lead a close-knit retail team for a beautiful boutique home and lifestyle brand. Based in Ponsonby, this is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy and a genuine connection with customers and product.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for the day-to-day store operations, customer experience, visual merchandising, online fulfilment, and supporting seasonal buying and marketing initiatives. You’ll work closely with the Director and wider team to ensure everything is running smoothly and sales targets are being met.
What you'll be doing:
Overseeing the in-store team including training, rostering, and managing performance
Ensuring the store environment is always clean, welcoming, and visually merchandised to reflect seasonal promotions
Managing inventory levels, processing incoming stock, and coordinating stocktakes
Supporting online sales through fulfilment, order management, and customer communication
Providing thoughtful customer service in-store, over email and social platforms
Supporting with marketing and seasonal campaigns, making sure messaging and product releases are aligned
Assisting with seasonal stock ordering and product uploads via Shopify
Helping identify product gaps or customer requests and feeding this back to the Director
What we’re looking for:
Experience managing a boutique or lifestyle retail store
Confident team leader who enjoys supporting and growing others
Proficient with Shopify (or similar) and familiar with systems like Stocky
Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle a variety of responsibilities
A warm, thoughtful communicator with a customer-first approach
Passion for interiors, design or lifestyle retail
