We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a thriving fashion company. This Auckland-based role will allow you to collaborate closely with teams across Auckland and London, driving financial operations while supporting the business through strategic insights and decision-making.
As the Management Accountant, you'll be responsible for financial reporting, cash management, and overseeing inventory and COGS. You’ll play a pivotal role in managing financial processes from accounts receivable/payable to budgeting and forecasting. This is a role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, creative environment and loves a challenge!
Key responsibilities include:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly management accounts, cash flow analysis, and board reports, with detailed commentary and insights to support strategic decision-making.
Inventory & COGS Management: Oversee and manage inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) to ensure accurate valuations and efficient stock management across all locations.
Cash Management: Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and provide proactive financial insights to ensure the business remains in a healthy financial position.
Accounts Receivable & Payable: Oversee debtor and creditor management, ensuring efficient processing and proactive development of AR and AP processes.
Systems Management: Work with Xero and Cin7 to maintain accurate financial records, ensuring smooth integration between accounting and inventory systems.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across Auckland and London, ensuring alignment on financial matters and strategic goals.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and industry standards (GST, PAYE, etc.).
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring realistic and achievable financial goals are set.
To succeed in this role, you will:
Have 3+ years of experience in accounting, ideally within fashion or consumer products.
Be proficient in Xero and inventory systems like Cin7.
Bring strong financial analysis, cash management, and forecasting skills.
Possess a proactive mindset, with excellent communication skills across multiple teams and stakeholders.
